Audi A4 Prices in Ireland 2026: A Diesel Asking-Price Check

For an Irish A4 diesel, the closest competing advert is more useful than a broad premium-car average. Mileage, body style and documented condition can separate two cars with the same registration year.

This September 2026 guide uses current Irish advertised listings gathered through CarValue.ie’s market-search and comparison engine. The largest usable pricing group here is 2022, with 9 adverts and a median asking price of €32,450. Its middle half runs from €29,950 to €32,995. The 2024 and 2020 medians differ by €18,700. That is a difference between today’s advertised cohorts, not measured depreciation of one car; mileage, engine, specification and seller mix can also differ.

Keep the saloon and estate comparison visible

Check the body description on each comparable, including any Avant adverts in a broader model search. If you specifically need an estate, a saloon-only bargain does not answer that requirement. Do the same check for gearbox, trim and the exact engine output before interpreting a difference as a market movement.

For buyers: compare the complete car

Compare the car with both similar A4s and realistic alternatives at the same budget. A cheaper car that needs immediate work may not be the cheaper purchase. Ask for the service evidence and arrange an inspection; an asking-price table cannot tell you the condition of the gearbox, suspension or body.

For sellers: support the asking price

Explain your own car's history and specification in the advert. A private A4 should not automatically be anchored to the top dealer advertisement. Check the seller mix behind the sample, then decide how the condition and included preparation of your car compare.

How to use these figures for your own car

The reference mileage is the input used for each research case, not the exact mileage of every advert. The selected band can widen where matches are sparse. Engine and fuel filters also depend on the information in the listings; the notes above show the observed engine mix where available.

The middle 50% is the range from the lower to the upper quartile of the selected asking prices. It is neither the full cheapest-to-dearest range nor a prediction interval for a sale. A buyer’s negotiated amount and a dealer’s trade-in offer can differ from these advertised numbers.

Use the guide to establish the right comparison group, then check current evidence for your actual mileage and specification. A CarValue.ie report shows the listings behind its estimate; an inspection and your car’s records answer the condition questions that listing data cannot.
