Hyundai Santa Fe Prices in Ireland 2026: Price the Larger Family SUV Properly

A Santa Fe purchase usually has a job to do: carry people, luggage or both. That makes the details behind the asking price especially important. A broad diesel comparison is a starting point, but the exact seating arrangement, drivetrain and condition need their own check.

We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 22 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 13 adverts, an average asking price of €21,300 and a median of €21,500. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.

Verify the capacity you need

Confirm the number of seats and the practical load space with those seats in use. If towing or four-wheel drive matters, verify the vehicle's actual specification and approved limits. Do not pay for a capability that has been assumed from the model name or an ambiguous line in an advert.

What changes between the selected years?

The 2020 median is €4,950 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 147,000 km and 150,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands overlap, which is another reason to compare the individual specification and condition rather than drawing a hard line between the years.

How wide is the price spread?

Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €16,750 to €26,850. That is a spread of about €10,100 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.

Compare the whole ownership proposition

Ask for service records and an independent inspection, then note any preparation costs. Sellers can help by photographing every seating row and the load area clearly. A well-presented family SUV advert should answer how the car works in daily use, as well as why its price sits where it does.

What is actually in the sample?

2018: 13 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 13 diesel; seller labels: 10 dealer, 3 private.

2020: 8 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 8 diesel; seller labels: 7 dealer, 1 private. Fewer than ten adverts makes this group especially sensitive to individual cars.

2022: only 1 eligible advert remained, so no average or numerical band is published. This is a limit of this search, not proof that suitable cars do not exist.

How we collected the figures

We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
