Kia Sportage Hybrid Prices in Ireland 2026: A Newer Sportage: How Much Is the Upgrade?

It is easy to become attached to the better-looking Sportage advert before checking the numbers. The year matters, but the hybrid type, specification and mileage can explain a substantial part of the gap between two apparently similar cars.

We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2022, 2023 and 2024 Kia Sportage adverts. After filtering, this non-plug-in hybrid snapshot contains 214 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2023: 133 adverts, an average asking price of €29,850 and a median of €29,950. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland non-plug-in hybrid asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed. Adverts labelled plug-in hybrid are excluded.

Start with the hybrid description

We exclude adverts explicitly labelled plug-in hybrid from this comparison. Within the remaining group, read the actual engine and specification details rather than relying on a search filter. If remaining manufacturer cover influences your budget, ask for the terms and service evidence applicable to that particular car; an advert's reassurance is not the paperwork.

What changes between the selected years?

The 2024 median is €9,400 higher than the 2022 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 45,000 km and 80,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.

How wide is the price spread?

Within the 2023 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €27,000 to €32,500. That is a spread of about €5,500 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.

Give the upgrade a job

Write down what the more expensive car adds to your daily driving. Better equipment, lower mileage or documented preparation can be useful. Paying more just to reach the next registration year is a choice too, but price it openly instead of treating the whole difference as unavoidable.

What is actually in the sample?

2022: 27 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 21 diesel hybrid, 6 petrol hybrid; seller labels: 26 dealer, 1 private.

2023: 133 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 111 diesel hybrid, 22 petrol hybrid; seller labels: 127 dealer, 6 private.

2024: 54 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 37 petrol hybrid, 17 diesel hybrid; seller labels: 53 dealer, 1 private.

How we collected the figures

We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
