Renault Clio Prices in Ireland 2026: Petrol Prices Beyond the Headline Bargain

Clio buyers often start with a budget, but the shortlist still needs a precise engine and gearbox requirement. The cheapest advert may describe a different proposition from the car you actually want.

This September 2026 guide uses current Irish advertised listings gathered through CarValue.ie’s market-search and comparison engine. The largest usable pricing group here is 2022, with 10 adverts and a median asking price of €14,600. Its middle half runs from €13,521 to €15,711. The 2024 and 2020 medians differ by €4,610. That is a difference between today’s advertised cohorts, not measured depreciation of one car; mileage, engine, specification and seller mix can also differ.

Separate versions before comparing years

Read the full petrol-engine description and confirm gearbox, body and equipment. Do not treat a hybrid or a performance-focused derivative as an ordinary petrol comparable. Where a year contains different versions, the price difference can reflect more than age.

For buyers: compare the complete car

Get an insurance quote for the actual registration and inspect the car's history and condition. If you need an automatic, build an automatic shortlist. If you are flexible, compare the actual extra cost and benefits rather than assuming the gearbox premium has a fixed value.

For sellers: support the asking price

Make the mileage unit, gearbox and engine clear in the opening description. Show the car's condition and disclose known issues. A buyer should be able to compare it with another Clio without first asking for every basic detail.

How to use these figures for your own car

The reference mileage is the input used for each research case, not the exact mileage of every advert. The selected band can widen where matches are sparse. Engine and fuel filters also depend on the information in the listings; the notes above show the observed engine mix where available.

The middle 50% is the range from the lower to the upper quartile of the selected asking prices. It is neither the full cheapest-to-dearest range nor a prediction interval for a sale. A buyer’s negotiated amount and a dealer’s trade-in offer can differ from these advertised numbers.

Use the guide to establish the right comparison group, then check current evidence for your actual mileage and specification. A CarValue.ie report shows the listings behind its estimate; an inspection and your car’s records answer the condition questions that listing data cannot.
