Skoda Octavia Diesel Prices in Ireland 2026: What Does Sensible Family-Car Money Buy?
An Octavia is worth putting on the list before assuming that family space requires an SUV budget. The diesel adverts give us a concrete place to start. They do not, by themselves, tell you which car suits your journeys or whether a particular example has been cared for.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2021, 2022 and 2023 Skoda Octavia adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 232 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2023: 121 adverts, an average asking price of €27,000 and a median of €27,900. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Liftback and estate are different shopping lists
Choose the body you need before comparing prices. Then narrow the gearbox and engine description. A higher-mileage car with clear records deserves a proper comparison with a lower-mileage one, but neither the odometer nor a thick folder should settle the decision without an inspection.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2023 median is €6,950 higher than the 2021 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 94,000 km and 128,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2023 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €23,950 to €29,900. That is a spread of about €5,950 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Make the advert useful to the next buyer
Show the load area, rear seats and everyday wear. State the mileage in kilometres and spell out the gearbox. If you have recent maintenance invoices, explain what was done without pretending every euro spent can be added to the asking price. Buyers are comparing alternatives, not reimbursing an ownership history.

How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
