BMW X3 Diesel Prices in Ireland 2026: What Does the Step Up to an X3 Cost?
Moving up to an X3 can mean more than a larger purchase price. Before comparing adverts, write down what the extra size or specification needs to do for you. Then assess the actual diesel vehicle, its equipment and its condition.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 BMW X3 adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 64 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 30 adverts, an average asking price of €27,700 and a median of €27,950. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Do not flatten the engine range into one number
Read the complete derivative, drivetrain and gearbox description. A more powerful or differently equipped example may sit in another part of the asking-price range. Our table groups eligible adverts by registration year; it cannot make those differences disappear or price an exact specification without further comparison.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2022 median is €18,850 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 82,000 km and 128,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €25,800 to €30,000. That is a spread of about €4,200 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Check the working condition
Look at tyres, wheels, cabin wear and documented maintenance, and arrange an independent inspection. Price any identified preparation with actual quotes. Sellers can make the asking price more understandable by explaining the specification and records plainly, rather than expecting a premium badge to close every gap between their car and cheaper adverts.

How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
