Dacia Duster Prices in Ireland 2026: Does the Budget SUV Still Look Cheap?

The Duster carries a budget-car expectation into the used market. Expectations are not a valuation. The important question is whether the actual asking price still makes sense alongside the car's age, drivetrain, equipment and condition.

We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 Dacia Duster adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 93 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 37 adverts, an average asking price of €9,800 and a median of €9,950. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.

Pay for the capability you need

Check whether the individual car has the drivetrain you want, and verify any towing requirements from its documents. If you only need an everyday road car, do not assume a more specialised specification is worth extra to you. Keep diesel cars separate from other powertrains when moving from this overview to a shortlist.

What changes between the selected years?

The 2022 median is €7,900 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 85,000 km and 153,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.

How wide is the price spread?

Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €8,950 to €10,950. That is a spread of about €2,000 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.

Look at equipment as well as the headline price

Confirm the features you regard as essential before arranging a viewing. Then price any work identified by inspection. For sellers, a plain account of the specification and condition is useful precisely because buyers may be shopping to a tight ceiling. Make it easy for them to see what is included.

What is actually in the sample?

2018: 37 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 37 diesel; seller labels: 28 dealer, 9 private.

2020: 26 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 26 diesel; seller labels: 23 dealer, 3 private.

2022: 30 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 30 diesel; seller labels: 29 dealer, 1 private.

How we collected the figures

We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
