Dacia Sandero Prices in Ireland 2026: The Budget-Car Price Check
A Sandero is often considered because the buyer wants to keep the purchase straightforward. That makes the cash price important, but it does not remove the need to compare the right cars. A trim or body-style label can change what is being offered.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2016, 2018 and 2020 Dacia Sandero adverts. After filtering, this petrol snapshot contains 27 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2016: 13 adverts, an average asking price of €5,150 and a median of €4,900. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland petrol asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Separate Sandero and Stepway descriptions
Check the vehicle's exact description rather than treating every result returned under the Sandero family as identical. Compare engine, gearbox and equipment too. Decide whether any appearance or specification premium matters in your daily use before allowing it to stretch the budget.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2018 median is €1,300 higher than the 2016 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 122,000 km and 118,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2016 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €4,000 to €5,500. That is a spread of about €1,500 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Work backwards from the total you can spend
Leave room for the preparation you can identify and the ownership costs you have checked for yourself. Do not build the whole budget around the cheapest advert in a wide search. Sellers can help by stating equipment plainly and showing condition honestly, especially where a buyer is comparing closely priced alternatives.
What is actually in the sample?
2016: 13 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 13 petrol; seller labels: 8 private, 5 dealer.
2018: 12 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 12 petrol; seller labels: 8 dealer, 4 private.
2020: only 2 eligible adverts remained, so no average or numerical band is published. This is a limit of this search, not proof that suitable cars do not exist.
How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
