Ford Kuga Diesel Prices in Ireland 2026: The Diesel Kuga Price Check
A used Kuga can look like the natural step up from a hatchback. Before increasing the budget, check what you are buying beyond the taller shape. Year, drivetrain, equipment and use can all pull apparently similar diesel adverts apart.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 Ford Kuga adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 190 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 90 adverts, an average asking price of €13,900 and a median of €13,950. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Keep different powertrains apart
This is a diesel-focused comparison. It should not become a shortcut for pricing a petrol or plug-in Kuga. Within the diesel group, check gearbox, driven wheels and the exact engine description. If towing matters, verify the approved limits for the individual vehicle instead of relying on what another Kuga owner says.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2022 median is €10,300 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 89,000 km and 161,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €12,000 to €15,850. That is a spread of about €3,850 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Price useful space, not just appearance
Try the load area with your own luggage and sit in the seats you need. Sellers should show that practicality and document maintenance, especially where a buyer will use the vehicle differently. An asking-price gap is a reason to investigate; it is not evidence that the more expensive car is automatically better.
What is actually in the sample?

2020: 40 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 40 diesel; seller labels: 35 dealer, 5 private.

How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
