Ford Mondeo Prices in Ireland 2026: Big-Car Space on a Used-Car Budget
A Mondeo can make the budget conversation interesting: a larger car does not always require a larger purchase price. That does not make it free of running or preparation costs. The useful comparison is the actual diesel car you can buy, with its history and condition attached.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2015, 2017 and 2019 Ford Mondeo adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 136 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2015: 64 adverts, an average asking price of €5,950 and a median of €5,850. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Compare bodies and gearboxes separately
A hatchback, saloon or estate may answer a different practical need. Confirm the layout in the advert and documents, then narrow the gearbox and engine. Our year groups are a market overview; they are not permission to use a well-equipped low-mileage example as the direct benchmark for every Mondeo.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2019 median is €5,750 higher than the 2015 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 189,000 km and 252,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2015 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €4,700 to €7,200. That is a spread of about €2,500 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Leave room for preparation
At these ages, investigate the condition of the individual car before deciding that a low price is a bargain. List any quoted work beside the asking price. Sellers should make service evidence and current condition easy to assess, giving the next owner a clear reason to view the car rather than a vague promise of value.

How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
