Peugeot 2008 Prices in Ireland 2026: Read the Engine Before the Price
A low-looking 2008 asking price is an invitation to investigate, not a conclusion. The body, powertrain and specification determine which cars make useful comparisons. This petrol-focused snapshot is a budget starting point rather than a substitute for that work.
We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 Peugeot 2008 adverts. After filtering, this petrol snapshot contains 71 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 26 adverts, an average asking price of €9,350 and a median of €9,000. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland petrol asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.
Use the exact engine as your reference
Confirm what is fitted to the car and request its maintenance records. Ask an independent inspector about the condition and work relevant to that engine. Electric and diesel alternatives belong in their own comparisons; they should not be folded into a petrol valuation merely because the model name is the same.
What changes between the selected years?
The 2022 median is €11,600 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 64,000 km and 92,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.
How wide is the price spread?
Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €7,550 to €11,000. That is a spread of about €3,450 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.
Make the practical premium visible
If you want the 2008 for easier access or useful space, try those features in person. Sellers should show the cabin, rear seats and boot, alongside readable specifications. Explain any premium with equipment, condition or documented preparation that the buyer can verify, rather than a broad claim that SUVs hold their value.

How we collected the figures
We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
