Volvo XC60 Diesel Prices in Ireland 2026: The Family-SUV Asking-Price Check

A diesel XC60 can be shortlisted for comfort, space or familiarity with the brand. Those are good reasons to investigate a car, but they do not set its value. The asking-price evidence still needs to be read alongside the actual drivetrain, equipment and use.

We checked live Irish listings on 21 September 2026 for 2018, 2020 and 2022 Volvo XC60 adverts. After filtering, this diesel snapshot contains 32 adverts across the three selected years. The largest group is 2018: 14 adverts, an average asking price of €25,650 and a median of €26,900. These are advertised prices, not completed sales or a personalised valuation.

Republic of Ireland diesel asking prices. Exact-year searches; no target-mileage filter. Prices rounded to €50 and median mileage to 1,000 km. Middle 50% means the lower-to-upper quartile, not the cheapest-to-dearest range. Different trims, bodies and mileages may be mixed.

Compare the full vehicle description

Confirm the engine, driven wheels and gearbox, and check the equipment fitted to the individual example. If the source uses diesel-hybrid labels, the sample notes show that mix. Do not assume a broad diesel filter has made every car of one year a direct substitute for the others.

What changes between the selected years?

The 2022 median is €13,000 higher than the 2018 median in this snapshot. Their typical advertised mileages are approximately 102,000 km and 137,000 km respectively. That is a comparison of different cars advertised today. It is not a depreciation measurement, an upgrade quote or proof that the year alone creates the price gap. The middle-price bands for those two groups do not overlap in this sample, but the full sets of adverts can still contain exceptions.

How wide is the price spread?

Within the 2018 group, the middle half of asking prices runs from €22,500 to €28,700. That is a spread of about €6,200 before considering the highest and lowest quarter of adverts. The average uses every eligible price; the median is the middle observation and is less sensitive to a few unusually expensive cars. Neither measure adjusts this table to your mileage or exact specification.

Explain condition with evidence

An independent inspection and readable maintenance records are more useful than a general claim about the brand. Sellers should photograph interior wear and useful features clearly. Buyers can then compare the asking price and any identified preparation with realistic alternatives, instead of paying for an impression that has not been checked.

What is actually in the sample?

2018: 14 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 14 diesel; seller labels: 12 dealer, 2 private.

2020: 9 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 9 diesel; seller labels: 7 dealer, 2 private. Fewer than ten adverts makes this group especially sensitive to individual cars.

2022: 9 eligible adverts; fuel labels: 9 diesel; seller labels: 8 dealer, 1 private. Fewer than ten adverts makes this group especially sensitive to individual cars.

How we collected the figures

We fetched every available results page for each selected year and removed duplicate adverts, listings outside the Republic, missing or implausible price/mileage entries, and obvious parts, wanted or non-running adverts. This is an unweighted snapshot of eligible asking prices, with dealer and private adverts retained. Adverts and search filters can contain mistakes; the source links let you check what is available now.
